Camping Stoves: Cook The Same As You Would At Home
The days of camping with my mom and dad are wonderful memories. Pitching our tent in the local camp ground, we would settle in for the weekend. Our cooler overflowing with a supply of doughnuts for breakfast was also stuffed with pop, beer and hotdogs.
We would virtually live on the supply of doughnuts and hotdogs for the weekend, since cooking over the fire was more difficult than it was worth. This sounds great to a young kid at first, but eventually the thrill of holding the hotdog over the open flame while being eaten by mosquitoes wears thin. The doughnuts are usually stale by the last day and bacon and eggs would look good even to the pickiest young eater.
The RV's that you see on the road these days are definitely a different breed than their predecessors, showcasing full kitchens and DVD players, not to mention air conditioning and full beds. With the amenities available today, camping no longer means having to rough it, unless that's what you're looking to do.
You can still enjoy life's comforts and sleep soundly, even when tent camping. You don't need an expensive RV to be comfortable in the woods. Including an air mattresses and a camp stove make sure that you wake up without a back ache eat like a king.
For me, camping means hauling a cooler loaded with our family's favorite camping foods such as hot dogs, burgers, potatoes, and just about anything else that can be pre-cooked from home. Modern camping stoves make cooking around the camp about as simple and easy as it is from home. These stoves are available in numerous sizes, styles and models to affordably fit almost any lifestyle.
My regular camping stove has two burners and each gives off plenty of heat. It's portable, easy to clean, great for frying or grills a perfect sirloin. It's my best friend if my children start acting up because they 're hungry. Even my youngest, who is a pretty picky eater doesn't find fault with this portable stove that works as well mine at home. Don't get me wrong. The kids will want one meal of hot dogs cremated over an open fire and I've been know to sneak a meal of fast food into camp if its just too hot to cook.
I have such fond memories of camping with my family as a child. But the food left something to be desired, because cooking on a campfire was difficult. Do you want an authentic camping experience, but still enjoy the comforts of home? Cooking outdoors is now a lot easier with a camp stove. They are available in numerous sizes, styles, and models to affordably fit almost any lifestyle. Of the many camping stoves, one of my favorites has a grill and two burners. It's portable and grills a steak to perfection. It easily cooks hamburgers or even chicken nuggets, and you still get to enjoy the great outdoors.
